Interview questions by role
Every guide here gives you the questions in full, with what a strong answer sounds like for each one, plus a scorecard to rate against. No sign-up, nothing held back. They cover roles where a recorded first round genuinely helps (high applicant volume, communication-led, entry to mid level) and each one says where it doesn't.
When a recorded first round is the right tool
Recording a first round is worth the setup in some situations and a waste of everyone’s time in others. It is worth being honest about which is which before building one, because the wrong tool applied enthusiastically costs more than no tool.
A recorded round fits when
- The role draws more applicants than you can call.
- The first round mainly checks how someone communicates.
- Candidates and interviewers are in different timezones or on different shifts.
It does not fit when
- The output is a portfolio or a take-home, which tests the work directly.
- The job is mostly written, where a writing sample tells you more.
- You're hiring one person and can call all six applicants this afternoon.

What these guides don't cover
None of these guides replaces the round where you push back on an answer, or the trial shift where you find out whether someone can actually do the physical job. They are built to get you to that round with three candidates worth the time instead of twelve.
